About the speakerSidsel Winther Storaas is a quality management professional, educator, and advisor specialising in system-level governance, decision-making, and organisational performance. She has close to three decades of experience working with complex organisations across sectors such as public, NGOs, energy, maritime, and knowledge-intensive industries.
Her work focuses on how governance structures, management systems, and leadership practices shape decision quality and long-term performance. Rather than treating culture and structure as isolated factors, she views Obeya as an integrated governing mechanism that links human judgment to operational clarity and accountability.
Sidsel is the founder of Storaas Quality Consulting and serves as a board chair and senior advisor in organisations undergoing structural and strategic transformation. She teaches quality management, system leadership, and organisational design at University level, and is the author of the forthcoming book Kvalitetsboken – Gjør det riktige rett (The Quality Book - do the right things right), which explores how modern organizations can govern complexity without losing human agency.
She is an Obeya Coach and works extensively with leadership teams to design organisational systems where Obeya support strategic execution, portfolio governance, and cross-functional decision-making in high-complexity environments.
